Our commitment: gambling is entertainment, not income

Playing with us should be a form of entertainment and nothing more. It should be paid for out of money you can afford to lose, in the same way you would pay for an evening out, and it should never be used as a way to earn an income or to win back money you have already spent.

Before you start, decide two things: how much you are willing to spend and how long you want to spend doing it. Money set aside for rent, bills, food or debt repayments is not gambling money. If you notice that you are playing to chase a loss, the session has stopped being entertainment and it is time to stop.

Our games are for adults only. We hold a gaming licence and are required to confirm the age and identity of every customer, so accounts are verified before withdrawals are processed and at any other point where a check is needed.

  • The tools to set limits, take a break and self-exclude sit in your account and are free to use at any time.
  • We treat any request for help as confidential and handle it without judgement.
  • We will not encourage you to play more, to raise a limit, or to come back after a break.
  • We stop marketing messages to anyone who self-excludes or asks us to stop sending them.

18+ only

Never gamble with money you cannot afford to lose, and never borrow to gamble. If gambling is affecting your sleep, your work, your finances or your relationships, the support listed further down this page is free and confidential.

The tools in your account and how to switch them on

All of our safer gambling controls sit together in the safer gambling area of your account, next to the cashier. You can switch them on yourself, at any time, without speaking to us first.

Deposit limits

A deposit limit caps the amount you can pay into your account over a day, a week or a month. You can hold limits for more than one period at the same time, and the tightest one applies. Both the amount and the period are yours to choose from the options shown in your account.

Loss and session limits

A loss limit caps how much you can lose, net of any wins, over the period you select; once it is reached, play stops until that period resets. A session limit works on time rather than money and ends play once the length of session you have set is up.

Reality checks

A reality check is a short on-screen message that appears at an interval you choose and tells you how long you have been playing and where you stand. You confirm it before play continues, which gives you a natural point at which to stop.

Time-outs

A time-out is a short break. Your account is closed to deposits and to play for the period you pick, and it reopens on its own when that period ends. Any balance stays in your account, or you can ask us to pay it out before the break starts.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is for a longer break. We close your account to play and to marketing for the minimum period set out in the tool, and the exclusion cannot be lifted early. When it ends, the account stays closed until you ask us to reopen it, and a short cooling-off period applies before you can play again.

  1. Sign in and open the safer gambling section of your account.
  2. Choose the tool you need: a deposit, loss or session limit, a reality check, a time-out or self-exclusion.
  3. Set the amount or length of time, and the period it should cover.
  4. Confirm your choice. A new limit, or one you tighten, applies straight away.
  5. If you would rather we did it for you, use the live chat or e-mail us and we will apply the setting.

Raising a limit takes longer than lowering one

A request to loosen a limit does not take effect at once. We hold it for a cooling-off period and then ask you to confirm it, so your existing limit stays in place in the meantime. Requests to tighten a limit, take a time-out or self-exclude apply immediately.

Signs that gambling may be becoming a problem

Difficulty with gambling builds slowly, so it helps to go through a short checklist from time to time. Think about the past few months and how many of these sound familiar:

  • You spend more money, or more time, than you planned to.
  • You play to win back what you have lost.
  • You borrow money, use credit or sell things in order to gamble.
  • You hide how much you gamble from family, friends or colleagues.
  • Gambling comes before work, study, sleep or time with people close to you.
  • You feel restless, low or irritable when you are not playing.
  • You have argued about money or about gambling with someone close to you.
  • You have tried to cut down or stop and found that you could not.

If one or two apply, set a deposit limit and a reality check today. If several apply, consider a time-out or self-exclusion and speak to one of the organisations below. You do not have to wait until things get worse to ask for help.

Where to get free, confidential help

Independent support is available across the United Kingdom, free of charge, whether you are worried about your own gambling or about someone else's.

  • GambleAware provides information on gambling harm and funds free treatment and support services, and can point you towards the help available in your area.
  • GamCare offers free counselling, treatment and advice for people affected by gambling, including partners and family members, and runs the National Gambling Helpline.
  • The National Gambling Helpline puts you in touch with trained advisers for confidential, one-to-one support and practical next steps, at any time of day.
  • GamStop is the free online self-exclusion scheme for Great Britain. One registration blocks your access to gambling sites licensed here, including ours, for the period you choose.

Alongside these, blocking software can stop gambling sites from loading on your devices, your bank may let you block gambling payments on your card, and free debt advice services can help you deal with money worries. Your GP can also refer you to local treatment.

Protecting children and other people in your household

It is against the law for anyone under 18 to gamble, and we check the age and identity of everyone who registers. We may ask for documents at any time, and if we find that an account holder is under 18 we close the account, void any play and return the deposits in line with our terms.

If you share a device or a home with children, these steps make accidental access much less likely:

  • Install parental control or filtering software that blocks gambling content on every shared device.
  • Set up separate user profiles and protect your own with a password or biometric lock.
  • Do not save your card or wallet details in a browser that other people use.
  • Log out of your account fully rather than leaving a session open.
  • Keep your password to yourself and never let anyone else play on your account.

If you believe a person under 18 has used your account, contact us straight away so we can look into it and secure the account.

Talking to us about safer gambling

Our team can apply any limit, time-out or self-exclusion for you and explain how each one works. Write to support@casino-hustles.co.uk, use the live chat on site, or e-mail responsiblegaming@casino-hustles.co.uk if your question is specifically about these tools. We will not try to talk you out of a break, and we will keep what you tell us confidential.
